Training and Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 25 years of age

• Must have high school diploma or GED

• No felony convictions

• No misdemeanors involving dishonesty, fraud, controlled substances, two or more alcohol related

Offenses, assault, or illegally using, carrying or possessing a dangerous weapon.

• Has not been dishonorably discharged from any branch of the U.S. Military

Qualifying Employment (any of the following):

• Held a license as a Private Detective/Investigator in this state or another state for at least 3 years

• An investigative employee of a licensed detective agency full-time for at least 3 years.

• An investigator, detective, special agent or certified police officer of a city, county, state, or the U.S.

Government full-time for at least 3 years.

• A bachelors degree in police administration or criminal justice from an accredited university or

College.
